Repeat Prescriptions

Nice_vlue_pills

You can order repeat prescriptions online up to 28 days in advance.

You can also drop your order form in at the Surgery.

Please allow three to four working days for your prescription to be prepared and signed by a doctor.

Please only leave a message on the repeat prescription line if you are unable to drop off your repeat prescription through the letter box or if you are unable to order through the NHS app or online (see below).  If you need to leave a message on the repeat prescription line then please ensure the message is brief stating only your name, date of birth, telephone number and the name of your medication.  By reducing the messages on the answer machine we can answer your call quicker and it is safer to order online or using your repeat prescription list as this reduces errors.

We use an electronic prescription service known as EPS, which means we can send your prescription electronically to a Pharmacy of your choice.  If Towlers Chemist already collect your prescription on your behalf we will send this to them electronically now in most cases.  Please note there are a small number of medications which cannot be sent electronically and may still have to be printed out in paper form.  Please contact your local pharmacy for more information or click here

Medication Reviews

You will need to discuss your medication with our Pharmacy Team or your GP at least once every 12 months so that we can make sure that your medication is appropriate. This means that to ensure good medical practice we are NOT able to authorise repeat prescriptions after their medication review date is due. The medication review date for each of your repeat medications appears on the right hand side of your prescription. If you have any questions about this then please contact the Surgery.
