Marie Curie Cancer Care is a UK charity dedicated to the care of people with terminal cancer and other illnesses. Over the financial year 2010/11, we reached a total of 31,799 patients

Youth Health Talk

YouthHealthTalk
Youthhealthtalk enables young people, their family and friends, and professionals such as doctors and teachers to understand young people's experiences of health, illness and life in general. The website feature real-life accounts of issues such as effect on work and education, social life and relationships, consulting health professionals and treatment.

Our appointment system allows you to book non-urgent appointments up to six weeks in advance.  You will normally be allocated a 15 minute appointment.

If you have more than one problem to discuss then please let the receptionist know so a longer appointment can be made. . 

Same Day Appointments

If you have a problem  which you believe needs to be dealt with on the day you call then you will be offered one of the following:

  • An appointment with a doctor that day
  • An appointment with a nurse that day
  • Telephone advice from a doctor

Please note that it may not be possible for you to speak to your usual doctor

Cancellations

If you cannot make your appointment then please notify the Surgery as soon as possible so that your appointment can be offered to someone else, even if you can only give us a few minutes notice. 

You can cancel your appointment online or by calling the Surgery on 01751 431254, choosing option 4 and leaving a message on our dedicated cancellation line.

Telephone Appointments

Appointments for either a doctor or nurse to telephone you can also be made.

Transport

If you need help getting to the Surgery then please contact Ryedale Community Transport (Tel. 01653 699059). 

If you think you are eligible for patient transport for hospital appointments please contact Yorkshire Ambulance Service on 0300 330 2000.  Due to eligibility questions Surgery staff are unable to call on your behalf.
